ASA (Acrylonitirle Styrene Acrylate) 3D Printing Filament
ASA, also know as Acrylic Styrene Acrylonitrile, is a 3D printable plastic with properties similar to ABS. It is commonly used in outdoor applications instead of ABS due to its superior resistance to UV and harsh weather conditions. It also has high dimensional stability and good chemical resistance, making it ideal for prototyping, outdoor applications and the automotive industry. ASA also exhibits excellent mechanical and thermal properties.
- Manufactured in the USA using premium ASA resin. This material is a great substitute for normal ABS when resistance to outdoor exposure is needed.
- Manufactured from 100% virgin resin and then spooled onto 750 gram reels, the filament is then vacuum-sealed with desiccant.
- Made in 1.75mm and 2.85mm diameters, this filament will convert anyone who prints with normal ABS!
This is our main supplier of filament. At my company, we mostly use their ASA for automotive products. We use acetone to smooth our parts and join other ASA prints together
Filament prints great. I have an Ender 3 pro and I found that 230 degC nozzle with a 100 degC print bed works great. My printer is not in an enclosure but applying 2 layers of glue stick seemed to ensure the print adhered correctly to the glass print bed. I love the matte look of this filament. Will be buying more in the future
