Description

Carbon Fiber PLA, ABS and PETG

Carbon fiber filaments use tiny fibers that are infused into a base material to improve the properties of that material. These fibers are extremely strong and cause the filament to increase in strength and stiffness. This also means that the 3D printed parts will be much lighter and more dimensionally stable, as the fibers will help prevent shrinking of the part as it cools.

  • Added stiffness
  • Improved dimensional stability
  • Excellent surface finish
  • Light Weight

Recommended Print settings:

  • CF ABS: Same as normal ABS
  • CF PETG: Same as normal PETG
  • CF PLA:  Refer to box for guidence
** We recommend using our Hardened Steel Nozzles if you are printing Carbon Fiber

CF ABS, absolutely awesome

I have recently been reprinting my enclosure I built along with a few other parts for my sons power wheels. This stuff is easy to print and lays down like a dream with little to no wrapping. I printed my enclosure parts on an ender 5 pro with a sprite pro extruder .8 nozzle at .4 hight. Ran it at 245c and 100 plate temp for the first layer and then 240 and 60 for the rest while at 80mm speed Parts came out perfect and no warping at all. I have printed a few parts on my Ender3 S1 pro as well at a .2 hight 80mm with same temps. I can say holding them side by side I can’t tell what printer they came off if I didn’t know already. There is a slight dull finish on the parts from the enclosure, but as for the layers very hard to tell. My first print was inside the enclosure and the rest have been open air and still having very good quality parts come out. The gear I printed was for a 40v power wheel gearbox and we have been putting it through the wringer. Took off soft start so little man could do doughnuts and even put pneumatic wheels on it and let him rip on the street. The gear has held up well. I did have a failure on one side but that was due to my inferior infill settings and trial and error. Over all very nice filament and durable, I will suggest you use some type of tension on the spool because it likes to spring off the spool when it is fresh out of the dry box.
